TiVo ToGo, redux.

I’ve been using Galleon for a while now and I really like the freedom it allowed me to have when it came to my recordings and made a great addition to the HMO add-on offered by TiVo (I don’t know if it’s still an add-on). However, with TiVo’s lastest update (the Fall 2006, software version 8.1-01-2-140) my Galleon instance no longer downloads shows matched by it’s rules configuration. In response, I have cobbled together a small script that will handle downloading TiVo files based on a “keyword” from a “tivo”. This is very much a work in progress (there are coded bits for part that are still in ‘idea stage’)… Check this posting often for updates if you intend on using it.

Update:  Galleon is a ‘dead’ project.  The forums are still open so that users can work out issues ‘amongst themselves’.  As such, my script is being used full time for my project and eventually will be migrated to perl so that I can do better file naming.
